Summer

My name is Eunchae Han, but you can call me Summer. I’m originally from South Korea, but I moved here last year. I’m currently majoring in Aviation, and hope to be a commercial pilot. I’ve always loved planes and flying, and hope to travel the world one day. One of my life goals is to fly my family on a vacation. In my spare time, I love watching movies and playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. With my blog, I hope to share my life stories and experiences, and maybe leave lasting memories I can look back on in the future.

There are three research topics I’m interested in: Privacy in social media, the relationship between societal beauty standards and plastic surgery, and how social media affects people’s personal and social relationships. In particular, I’m mainly interested in societal beauty standards and plastic surgery and what factors influence people’s decisions to change their appearance. Perhaps there are societal pressures or personal issues that change how people view themselves, or other unexplained factors that play a role. I think this topic is especially important for the younger generation, with the rise of social media and influencers and overall increased exposure to stimulating images and lifestyles. I look forward to updating this blog and diving deeper into my research topic.
